BEST FREE PUBLIC UTILITY

Artesian Well Park

Many small towns grew from a town pump or well, but in cities big and small, this necessity long ago went the way of buggy whips as municipal utilities made them obsolete. But here in the desert state of Zion, where drought has elevated water worries to near code-orange levels, there is still a source of free, pure, delicious drinking water. On a Sunday afternoon, you might find only one other person there filling five-gallon jugs. The water is pretty mineral-laden, but it tastes good, and after all, we’re talking about free water in the desert. Is this a great country or what? 500 E. 800 South.
