"This place should be a model for hostels from coast to coast. After staying in many hostels in recent years, I find that this one here in SLC is about as close as possible to "PERFECT."

"What a gem!...I marvel that people will spend 5-10 times more for a sterile motel room with none of the conviviality and personality of a place like Camelot. If Salt Lake's on your itinerary...you won't do better."
- Jim Keller (Tenant from USA)

"One of the better hostels I've been to, but at half the price!"

"If you are a professional do not hesitate to stay at CAMELOT HOUSE
in Salt Lake City.
When there I found the house occupants to consist of lawyers, professors, graduate students, business persons, and international travelers...It is an excellent facility for the bargain rates."

"I must say you did a phenomenal job of providing an outstanding atmosphere and a great clientele...I made many fast friends during my stay at Camelot, friends I will have and cherish for years to come...Truth be told, I could talk for hours about the wonders of this place, and never truly do it justice."

"I was in Salt Lake City for a collaboration with the University of Utah (I'm a PostDoc in Computer Science), and I found Camelot to be the right place for me: good price... good location...good cleanness and great people as roommates ...I definitely recommend it."

"I recently had the pleasure of spending time at the Camelot rooming house in Salt Lake City, I was working on a project for Sarcos a medical and robots research group at the Univ of Utah...The idea of spending months in a hotel just wasn't what I wanted...Knowing I was going to be near the Univ I thought I would just give it a try...So I moved in and I have to say it turned out better than I had hoped. The people were friendly the location could not have been better...It's the kind of place your mother would approve of..."

Reviews:

At about 7p.m. when I arrived at Crystal Hot Springs, I had an almost-unbearable pain, on my right  lower back , from a ski injury (fell off a cliff and hit a tree). 5 minutes after being in the water I started to feel the positive effects - I was able to walk up and down the pool's stairs, quickly, without holding the hand rail. The next day, I was strong enough to ski again.

An old man told me that he has Parkinson's disease and also slid of ice and hit his back on concrete stairs. Crystal Hot Springs water relaxes his muscles, thus stopping the shaking and his back pain goes away.

A young man told me that (1) his mother has rheumatoid arthritis, when she comes to Crystal Hot Springs , she doesn't need to take medication. (2) his girlfriend has manic depression (bi polar), when she comes to Crystal Hot Springs , she doesn't need to take medication.

Ron that is a regular at Crystal Hot Springs, he fell on some wood and dislocated his shoulder. The water relieves the pain, so he doesn't have to take 800mg of ibuprofen.

A few years ago when I started working in gym, my arms hurt so bad- I couldn't carry my back pack (my wife JAG Goo help me, like I was and old man); in 5 minutes, I was able to move them again.

My bad left knee (former torn ACL), that had been bothering me for a week (from flat snow injuries), got cured almost instantly.

My sickness from vertigo (from flat snow injuries), went away and I was my happy self again.

My wife that is a very quite person, of very few words- she wouldn't stop talking- the lithium from the water made her happy. Note: all the other people in the pool, were also in a good mood and non stop talking. I couldn't find one sad person.

The water is fantastic, natural and full of minerals. I would give the water 5 stars. However the facilities are filthy! Most times I've gone there hasn't been toilet paper or paper towels in the entire girls locker room! It feels as if the place is cleaned, perhaps, once a day and in a very shoddy manner. If you go take shoes, ignore the hair balls in the water, and don't use the toilets! I will continue to go, just keeping in mind that skin is washable.

Basically, its a great place to hangout with family and friends, especially when I just live half a mile away from it and can just walk there. The staff is quite friendly enough and I love the old feel of the environment ... Overall, this place does have it's history showing through, its still a great place to visit and enjoy.

Great Water. The water is all natural spring water so it is kind of salty but very good for your skin and doesn't need to be chlorinated. Because it is naturally heated it's even fun to go in the winter and hang out when there is snow on the ground. The slides are fun ...
~Jeffrey , Google Places

Amazing BECAUSE it's Rustic This isn't a resort. This is a community center — where neighbors and far-flung fans come to soak in the amazing, natural hotsprings. Yes, it LOOKS like a city pool — but the water is left un-touched ... And it's the un-touched quality of the water that makes it so great. If you want hot, chlorinated water, go to the gym. This place is a delightful break from the hectic life we all seem to lead. And the staff are all local highschool students. Like I said … it's not a resort. It's a community.
